What Can You Do To Stay Healthy

To keep healthy, there are five easy things you can do.

1. Stay away from smoking and smokers.

2. Eat well and maintain your BMI (Body Mass Index) between 18.5 and 24.8.

3. Try not to consume alcohol.

4. Engage in daily exercise

5. Get enough sleep

1. Stay away from smoking and smokers.

The dangers of smoking

If you smoke, you should stop since it is bad for you and everyone around you.

Did you know that?

- Cigarette smokers are at a heightened risk of having a heart attack.

- Cigarette smoking is associated with an exceedingly high risk of lung cancer.

- Each year, over 300,000 Americans are killed by lung cancer, which is caused by smoking.

- Smoking is directly responsible for 75% of Emphysema and Bronchitis fatalities.

If you wish to remain healthy, you must stop smoking and avoid smokers, since "Passive Smoking" is just as dangerous as "Active Smoking."

2. Eat well and maintain your BMI (Body Mass Index) between 18.5 and 24.8.

How Should You Eat?

As I indicated in my previous post, "Diet: How to Really Make Your Diet Work for You," your body needs a good Balanced Nutrition Diet, with the recommended daily amounts of vitamins, minerals, proteins, and carbs.

What can a well-balanced diet do for you?

- Provide an efficient weight-loss solution

- Lose weight and tone up your physique.

- Prevent and reduce aging symptoms

- Improve cardiovascular and immune system function

- Regulate levels of sugar and insulin

- Assist in cholesterol regulation

- Improve your memory and mental clarity.

What is the BMI and how may knowing it help you improve your health?

Knowing your BMI allows you to determine if your weight is within the norm or whether you are overweight (or your weight is insufficient).

The BMI is closely tied to health risk; as the BMI rises, so does the risk.

That is why it is critical to understand and safeguard your BMI (18,5 – 24,8)

Body Mass Index Calculators:

BMI (Metric) formula: BMI = (Weight in Kilograms / Height in Meters) x Height in Meters)

(Weight in Pounds / (Height in Inches) x (Height in Inches)) x 703

3. Try not to consume alcohol.

So, why is it so important to abstain from alcohol in order to enhance your health?

Alcohol has several negative effects:

- Damage to the heart and central nervous system

- gastrointestinal problems

- Damage to the liver

- power outages

- a greater likelihood of alcoholism

e.t.c.

So, if you want to live a healthy lifestyle, avoid alcohol at all costs.

4. Exercise every day.

Exercising is very beneficial to human health and has been shown to be an effective treatment for a variety of well-known diseases.

How much exercise is sufficient?

To be healthy, you should exercise for at least 10 to 15 minutes every day.

You might also mix your normal daily chores with exercise to save time.

Here are a few ideas of what you might do:

- Aim for at least 5000 steps every day.

- Taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

- Instead of walking, try running.

e.t.c.

5. Get Enough Sleep.

All of the things I described above would not function unless you get a decent night's sleep.
